Has anybody had trouble locating my book Shadow Warrior in bookshops? I have had feedback from people saying they can't find it. If this is the case I would appreciate any feed back from people who have had similar experiences so that I can get onto the distributor to make sure the book is in the bookshop.
Cheers,
Dave

Hi Dave,
Thanks for the reply,Im from WA and know all the places you were talking about. It's unreal reading the book and knowing all the area's and suburbs you mentioned.I work in the mining industry and have worked on a gold mine and to read that section of the book was awesome, Me and my work mates have joked over a few beers about doing the same thing(piss talk). And to have come back to perth on a push bike!Good effort mate.

Hi Dave,
Read the book and like everyone that has posted here, immensely enjoyed reading it.
Shows that you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
I have moved to perth from Melbourne recently, and was reading the book on the plane ride here. Its surreal reading about Perth places that i have been to.
Well done and hope all is well with you.
Hope you keep writing.
Cheers.
Hi Janahan,
thanks for posting. Hope you are enjoying WA, Perth's a lovely city.
Glad you enjoyed the read. Have had heaps of feedback through my email address as well as a lot of people find it hard to post on here as they have to join the blogger site.
Good luck in WA and cheers for now,
Dave
Hey Dave,
Great read! I managed to track your book down. Most stores had just sold them too quick i found! Got the last copy at the bookshop at the perth train station. My parents remember your exploits in the news and it was good to hear your side of events. I worked with nic and jess in riverton. Great kids. So strange to hear about you (from nic especially) and then to read your book.
Cheers for a great read.
Adrian
Hi Adrian,
thanks for the feedback. It is a small world aye! Hope you have a great xmas and new year.
Cheers,
Dave
I didnt have any trouble finding the book either, bought it from "galleria morley", although after i had bought the book i went to "angus and robertson" book store, also in the galleria to compare the prices and they didnt have it.im currently half way through it and cant put it down it is an excellent book and i much prefer to read about real life stories.
I have also been inspired to join the army and i most certainly will try for the SAS, but at 26 i'll see how i go.
I think your a 'bloody' good bloke and the australian government should thank you for your efforts in burma.i think you should reprint the book and label it Fiction, perhaps then you'll get profits from it.
All the best mate
Azza
Hi Azza,
good to hear that you found the book ok, heaps of people haven't. Your never too old to join the army, especially the SAS. Give it a shot or you will always be left wondering. Good luck with it.
Cheers,
Dave
Hello David
I see from your reply to azza’s comments your up pretty late. I grabbed your book from the Perth airport, on my way back to Kalgoorlie for work. I was looking for something to read and the reasons to why I bought the book, well you’re a fellow Tasmanian, and I’ve been (4wded) in/through those spectacular areas where you were brought up. I loved/love your book! it’s defiantly a fairy tail of warnings given from another to others. I still find myself drifting back to the book when I’m out of things to do, and I can pick the story up from any page of your book. It’s an easy read, and it still makes me laugh and smile at some of the things you’ve done, however, there is also such a life changing, guiding dark side to the exploits. All I can say is thank you to my pop, he served throughout Malaysia with the British army, and as a younger boy, I was always keen to join, until he sat me down and told me some of the stories of what he had encountered and seen (which to this day he has told no-one else), and thanks to you for further reinforced what he told me.
Thank you for your side of the story, and thanks for a great book. Loved it!!
Good luck David,
James
G'day James,
thanks for the feedback mate. It's amazing how many Tasmanian's have ended up in Kalgoorlie and the surrounding region working in the mining game. Happy your pop told you about the realities of war and service in the armed forces. Take care and best wishes,
Dave
hey dave,
good having drinks with you last night, awesome having a chat, cheers for the advice, im talking it on board for sure, got your book this morning and cant put it down, seems like its going to be an awesome read,
all the best mate,

No worries Lee. Was great having a beer with you. Look forward to hearing your thoughts on it when you finish. Take care mate and will see you around the traps for another beer.
Dave
Hi dave, im 24 years old neva red a book in my life and absolutly hated reading until i red your story in ZOO, i went out and brought your book and finished it in about 5 days. Loved it, it's mind blowing what you have done. Whens the movie coming out??
Dan from Darwin
Hi Dan,
glad I inspired you to read a book, especially mine. Thanks for the feedback mate and glad you enjoyed.
Cheers,
Dave
Gidday Dave was surprised to read about Quigley gobbing off about you. I remeber a time when he represented the Police Union, he was a real cop lover and would deny everything and stick up for the cops no matter what they did in the way of corruption. Then he suddenly swapped sides when the Mallard case and also the Beamish and Button case showed that cops in W.A. are not real interested in arresting the right person for the right crime, it doesn't really matter if you did the crime, if the cops want an arrest and a scapegoat you will do the time!!
I think the opposition had it right when they said he was a "media whore". Notice he has a go at you under parliamentary privilege, I have never liked the man nor trusted him.
Hi Allen,
Well what can I say?
I got my reply to his rant and rave and false allegations read into the WA Parliamentary Hansard today. I dealt with facts, not fantasy.
Cheers,
Dave
